What does it cost to join?
The only cost is your donation of time and effort to serve your community, all required training and equipment is provided by the department at no cost to you. We are a volunteer department so we do not require members to participate in a certain amount of calls, events, meetings, or trainings with the only exception being eligibility for an office such as President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Chief, Assistant Chief, Captain, or Lieutenant and eligibility to vote for those offices which require you to attend 6 (for voting rights) or 9 (for office eligibility) of the monthly meetings which are held the second Thursday of every month at 6pm.

Until you turn 18 years old and complete the state required Firefighter 1/Hazmat Awareness/Operations, and First aid/CPR certifications you may only participate as a junior volunteer firefighter which you can learn more about here (insert quick link to the junior firefighter program page). You may participate in training, most events (some 18+ events require your parents permission to staff), community outreach such as the highschool, pre-k, and kindergarten visits, as well as our visits to local businesses.

As an adult you may participate in all fire department activities as long as you complete the state required Firefighter 1/Hazmat Awareness/Operations, and First aid/CPR certifications which are paid for by the department and may staff all events.

If you are not comfortable with participating in the fire service side of the department and would still like to donate your time and help out you can join our auxiliary, currently this is an informal group who comes up with fundraising ideas, plans those events and helps staff them if available. There are no special requirements to join other than your donation of time.
